While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

UN official: Far more remains to be done to address over 15 months of deprivation of basic human necessities in Gaza

NEW YORK, February 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

A United Nations official said Tuesday that far more remains to be done to address over 15 months of deprivation of basic human necessities in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Addressing a briefing of the UN Security Council on the situation in the Middle East, Sigrid Kaag, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process stated: “In Gaza, death, destruction, and multiple displacement has been inflicted upon the Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip. While the first phase of the ceasefire has provided a surge of much-needed relief, far more remains to be done to address over 15 months of deprivation of basic human necessities and above all a loss of human dignity.”

“The Middle East today is undergoing rapid transformation—its scope and impact remain uncertain, but it presents a historic opportunity,” she said.

While she voiced her optimism that “The people of the region can emerge from this period with peace, security, and dignity,” she cautioned that “this may be our last chance to achieve the two-State solution.”

Commenting on the phases of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, she added: “Since the first phase of the ceasefire came into effect on 19 January, the United Nations, NGOs and member states have expedited and scaled up life-saving humanitarian assistance into Gaza. Improved access and security conditions have allowed for the delivery of assistance and services.”

While calling for addressing the immediate needs in Gaza, she emphasized the need to “build a future that offers protection, recovery, and reconstruction.” She pointed out that initial estimates indicate that $53 billion will be required for this effort.

“Palestinians – Palestinian civilians – must be able to resume their lives, to rebuild, and to construct their future in Gaza. There can be no question of forced displacement,” she stressed.

While referring to the efforts aimed at planning for Gaza’s future, she highlighted the need to ensure that “Gaza remains an integral part of a future Palestinian State” and that “Gaza and the West Bank including East Jerusalem are unified politically, economically, and administratively.”

She also pointed out that “There will be no long-term IDF presence in Gaza.”

She made four key requests, “First, continued support for the full realization of the ceasefire deal, including the release of all hostages. This is critical.”

“Second, it is crucial not to lose sight of the dangerous dynamics in the West Bank and urgent de-escalation which is needed,” she added.

As part of the third request, she urged the international community “to support the Palestinian Authority in its reform efforts and its resumption of responsibilities in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian security forces should also be empowered to carry out their responsibilities in areas under their control.”

As part of the fourth request, she called for the provision of political and financial support to Gaza's recovery and reconstruction efforts.

She voiced her concerns over Israeli “military operations, attacks and mounting violence in the West Bank,” while noting that “Casualties, destruction, and displacement continue to be reported, particularly in Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarm governorates, where refugee camps and infrastructure are heavily impacted.”

She said that she was alarmed by “the killing of a pregnant woman and young children during these operations. These incidents must be thoroughly investigated and those responsible held to account.”

On the issue of Israeli settler-colonialism, she cautioned that ongoing Israeli colonial construction along with “continued calls for annexation, present an existential threat to the prospect of a viable and independent Palestinian State and thereby the two-State solution.”

She referred to the Israeli legislation banning UNRWA from operating in the occupied territories, while reiterating that “UNRWA’s work remains essential and must be allowed to continue unimpeded.”

Gaza death toll from Israeli war close to 48,350: Health Ministry

By Ahmed Asmar

Anadolu, 25.02.2025

ANKARA --

Gaza’s death toll from Israel’s destructive war since October 2023 has reached 48,348, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.

A Ministry statement said the body of one Palestinian was recovered from the rubble and another was killed by Israeli army fire in the last 24 hours.

Two more injured Palestinians were transferred to hospitals, taking the number of injuries to 111,761 in the Israeli onslaught, it added.

“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” the ministry said.

A ceasefire agreement has been in place in Gaza since Jan. 19, 2025, halting the Israeli war that has caused widespread destruction and left the Palestinian enclave in ruins.

Despite the ceasefire, the Gaza local authorities reported almost daily ceasefire violations by the Israeli army.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants in November last year for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.

Six Palestinian children die out of severe cold in Gaza

Tuesday 25-February-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Six Palestinian children passed away in the past few days in Gaza Strip due to the severe cold and lack of heating means, in light of the ongoing siege and shortage of basic supplies, in a tragic scene that reflects the level of the humanitarian catastrophe in the enclave due to the Israeli aggression and siege.

Dr. Sa'eed Salah, the medical director of the Patient Friends Hospital in Gaza, confirmed on Tuesday that five children have lost their lives in the northern Gaza Strip as a result of the severe cold, while another child is still in critical condition receiving treatment.

For his part, Dr. A'hmed Al-Farra, head of the pediatric department at Nasser Medical Complex, explained that another child died of the extreme cold, while two other cases arrived at the hospital. One of them was treated, while the second is still receiving treatment amid difficult circumstances.

The residents of Gaza are experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and deteriorating living conditions, as hundreds of thousands of the displaced people lack the appropriate shelter and have no sufficient blankets, exacerbating the suffering of the children amid current severe cold waves, fuel depletion, and shortage of heating means.

Israeli occupation forces have been hindering the entry of tens of thousands of temporary housing units and tents to accommodate the displaced, and prohibiting the entry of materials needed for the restoration of partially destroyed houses.

'Hamas appeals to mediators to pressure Israel to implement humanitarian protocol

Tuesday 25-February-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, has called on the mediators in Qatar and Egypt anew to take immediate action to pressure the Israeli occupation government to honor its obligations under the ceasefire agreement, especially with regard to the humanitarian protocol.

“The death of six newborn children and the presence of several sick children in critical condition due to the severe cold spell and the lack of heating means in Gaza are the result of the fascist occupation government’s criminal policies,” Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday.

'Hamas accused the Israeli government of preventing the entry of humanitarian aid and shelter supplies to Gaza.

'Hamas also slammed the international community for not taking action to address the unprecedented humanitarian disaster in Gaza, which resulted from Israel’s aggression and siege.

'Hamas called on the mediators to ensure the entry of shelter and heating supplies and medical aid urgently to Gaza to save its children.

The latest child deaths come as Israel continues to block the entry of mobile homes and other vital needs to Gaza, despite agreeing to allow it under the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

Palestinian succumbs to injury from Israeli army gunfire in Nablus

NABLUS, February 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

A Palestinian Tuesday evening succumbed to an injury he sustained from Israeli army gunfire in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to medical sources.

The sources said that Tariq Qasim Al-Qassas died of a critical injury he had suffered in the chest after being hit by live ammunition fired by Israeli occupation forces in the course of their aggression in the city.

They elaborated that the occupation forces fired barrages of live ammunition, tear gas, and concussion bombs toward Palestinians in the vicinity of the western cemetery in the city, killing the young man and injuring 11 others.

As part of the 11 gunfire casualties, seven sustained injuries across their bodies from live gunfire shot by the occupying forces, three others sustained shrapnel injuries and another suffered an injury as a result of falling from a high place.

Dozens of Palestinians suffocated from excessive tear gas inhalation, including a 7-year-old toddler.

Local sources said that Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) crews and firefighters evacuated children from kindergartens close to the scene of the raid.

In the morning hours, the occupation forces raided Nablus city for the third time and conducted search operations on the western cemetery, desecrating tombs and demolishing several, as confirmed by security sources.

They also barged their way into the eastern part of the city, opening gunfire in the vicinity of the Askar refugee camp, injuring a man with live ammunition in the foot.

The heavily armed soldiers rampaged through stores near the cemetery, confiscated security camera recordings, and detained a young man on al-Mamoun street.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without a search warrant whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

Palestinian man dies of IOFs gunshot wounds in Nablus

Tuesday 25-February-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

A Palestinian man succumbed to an injury he sustained from Israeli army gunfire in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus on Tuesday evening.

The man died after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) near the western cemetery of the city.

Palestinian resistance factions also confirmed that they confronted the Israeli forces’ raid into the city and targeted the Israeli troops with an explosive device in the vicinity of the western cemetery.

During the raid, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, tear gas, and sound bombs, wounding six people and suffocating 15 others because of excessive gas inhalation.

Meanwhile, local citizens and school students suffered from teargas inhalation after the IOFs violently broke into Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, amid heavy fire of teargas and sound bombs.

On the other hand, a group of the illegal Israeli settlers injured a disabled Palestinian while he was grazing his livestock in Khirbet Ibziq in the occupied West Bank’s northern Jordan Valley.

The settlers attacked the 20-year-old shepherd and injured him in the thigh.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society confirmed that its crew transported the man to the hospital after he was stabbed.

The attack comes as Israeli occupation soldiers stepped up their incursions in the occupied West Bank for more than a month now.

On Sunday, Israeli tanks rolled into the north of the West Bank as Israeli authorities announced they would remain there for a year while preventing about 40,000 displaced Palestinians from returning to their homes.

IOFs storm homes, kidnap several Palestinians in the West Bank

Tuesday 25-February-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) raided several homes and kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens last night and on Tuesday morning as part of its large-scale military aggression against the Palestinians in the West Bank.

According to local sources, the IOFs broke into and ransacked homes and kidnaped six citizens during a dawn raid in Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of al-Khalil.

Local residents reported seeing some IOFs helicopters flying low over Al-Khalil (Hebron) Province during the IOFs raid in Al-Fawwar refugee camp.

In Nablus, Israeli occupation forces rampaged through the Imam 'Ali Mosque in the western area of Nablus City, wreaking havoc on its loudspeakers and contents.

They also stormed and searched the western cemetery of Nablus City and ransacked several nearby stores.

Local sources said that Israeli occupation soldiers rampaged through stores near the cemetery, confiscated security camera recordings, and detained a young man in al-Mamoun street.

The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the eastern area of Nablus City and kidnaped a young man from Yatma town, south of the province.

In Jineen, the IOFs raided a house after detonating its door and kidnaped a young man from it in Al-Zababida town.

The IOFs also stormed other areas of the West Bank and kidnaped an unidentified number of Palestinian citizens, amid clashes with local youths.

IOFs continue their aggression, siege on Toulkarm for 2nd month

Tuesday 25-February-2025

Toulkarm, (PIC)

Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) have been launching a brutal aggression on the city of Toulkarm and its refugee camp for the second month in a row and waging an offensive on Nour Shams refugee camp near the city amid an ongoing tight siege for 17 consecutive days.

The media committee in Tulkarem camp, north of the West Bank, revealed, in a statement on Tuesday, that the Israeli aggression has so far caused a remarkable destruction in infrastructure and property and led to the martyrdom of 12 citizens, in addition to dozens of others injured or detained.

The statement explained that the IOF has been laying out a suffocating siege on the Tulkarem and Nour Shams camps, coinciding with large-scale incursions into the city, during which IOFs besieged hospitals and broke into homes, turning them into military barracks while bombing, burning and demolishing dozens of them.

It added that the IOFs displaced the people at gunpoint, leading to a large wave of displacement among the residents of the two camps exceeding 15,000 people, distributed to shelter centers and homes of relatives in the city, its suburbs, and villages.

The committee pointed out that the Israeli aggression has caused a mass destruction to the infrastructure, including electricity, water, sanitation, and communications networks, which tremendously affected the lives of the residents who remained in some neighborhoods of the Toulkarm and Nour Shams camps, exacerbating their suffering due to severe shortage of food, water, medicines and infant formula.

At least 12 citizens were martyred in Toulkarm, including a seven-year-old child and a pregnant woman, while more than 20 people were injured, and 165 others were arrested, it elaborated.

The media committee called for intensifying the societal support for Toulkarmm city and its refugee camps, and for shedding light on the war crimes committed by the IOFs against Palestinians.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap Palestinian from Toubas

TOUBAS, February 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces Tuesday evening kidnapped a Palestinian from the occupied West Bank city of Toubas, according to the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Kamal Bani Oada, Director of the PPS Office, said that the occupation soldiers manning Al-Sayrafi checkpoint, located on the road between Tubas and Nablus, stopped and rounded up a resident of Tubas.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces confiscated a bulldozer while leveling a plot of agricultural land in Qibya village, west of Ramallah, as reported by WAFA correspondent.

The occupation forces conducted multiple raids, including in Shuqba village, west of Ramallah, Idhna town, west of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), and 'Hizma town, northeast of Jerusalem.

In the predawn and morning hours, the occupation forces rounded up at least nine Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank.

In Al-Quds (occpied Jerusalem) governorate, the occupation forces detained two wounded youths after ransacking the houses of their families in Kafr 'Iqab, as confirmed by the Jerusalem Governorate.

The two young men were injured by Israeli army gunfire in their lower limbs about a month ago when the slain Palestinian Adam Sub Laban was targeted at the Qalandya military checkpoint.

The Governorate added in a press release that the occupying soldiers also rounded up another young man after raiding his family's home in the airport neighborhood.

In Al-Khaleel (Hebron) governorate, security sources confirmed a raid into 'Hal'houl town, resulting in the detention of three residents.

They also confirmed a similar military raid in the Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron City, resulting in the detention of another.

Mu'hammed 'Awwad, a media activist, told WAFA that the occupation forces barged their way into Beit Ummar town in the predawn hours, breaking into several houses, conducting thorough searches and causing significant damage.

He added that the gun-toting soldiers showed up at the house of Ibrahim Abu Maria, 45, muscled inside, beat him up in front of his family members, and seized 3,500 shekels in cash.

He added that they also stormed the house of Zuhair Al-'Alami, 55, punctured the tires of his vehicle, and confiscated his belongings, including his cell phone and Tablet device.

In the Jenin governorate, the occupation forces rearrested a former prisoner from the town of Zababda after raiding his house in the town.

The Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) issued statistics showing that the occupying forces have detained and briefly held approximately 200 Palestinians in the city of Jenin since the onset of the military aggression on the city 36 days ago.

In the Nablus governorate, an Israeli army force showed up at a house in Yatma village and detained an occupant.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

According to the latest figures from Al-Dhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 10,000 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 365 child prisoners and 15 female prisoners.

This number includes approximately 3,369 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

The mass arrest of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Al-Dhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel, this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one.

Palestinian Foreign Ministry warns against mulled Israeli restrictions on Al-Aqsa Mosque, ahead of the month of Ramadhan

RAMALLAH, February 25, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Tuesday warned against the set of new restrictions mulled by Israel on Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surrounding area in the Old City of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) ahead of Ramadhan.

The Ministry slammed in a statement the Israeli policy of tightening access to the mosque compound as a flagrant violation of citizens' right to freedom of worship and freedom of access to places of worship.

It affirmed that these restrictions constitute an extension of the occupation's aggression against the Palestinian people, and an attempt to forcefully introduce changes to the political, historical, and legal status quo in the occupied territories, in general, and in Al-Aqsa, in particular, as a prelude to divide the holy site, if not demolish it, and build a temple on its ruins.

It pledged to act and exert efforts at the international level to expose Israeli violations against Christian and Islamic sanctities as well as against their staff members and worshipers, calling for urgent international intervention to protect them and guarantee freedom of worship for Palestinians.

IOAR razes homes, agricultural property in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Tuesday 25-February-2025

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

The Israeli occupation authority (IOAR) demolished on Tuesday a number of Palestinian homes and structures in different areas of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

According to Palestinian media sources, the Israeli municipality displaced the families of 'Eid and El-Ruwaidi after demolishing their mobile homes in Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan district, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The IOAR had demolished the houses of these two families about several months ago, forcing them to live in mobile homes on their own lands.

The IOAR also demolished today a house and agricultural structures in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) district of Al-'Eisawiya.

Local sources said that the Israeli municipality demolished a house in the eastern area of Al-'Eisawiya belonging to Amjad Ali.

The municipality also razed large plant nurseries and livestock structures and bulldozed swaths of agricultural land, trees and retaining walls in Al-'Eisawiya.

Establishment of illegal settler outposts in the West Bank reaches all-time record in 2024

Tuesday 25-February-2025

NAZARETH, (PIC)

An Israeli organization has said that a record number of the illegal Israeli Jewish settler outposts were established in the occupied West Bank in 2024, describing it as “unprecedented” in the history of settlement construction.

The “Kerem Navot” organization clarified on Monday that 2024 had seen the establishment of 60 new settlement outposts in the West Bank areas, which is more than a fifth of all the illegal 284 outposts that were established in the West Bank since 1997, according to the Zman Israeli online newspaper.

Kerem Navot said that none of the outposts built in 2024 was legalized proactively or retroactively, unlike in past cases when illegal outposts had been approved and whitewashed retroactively.

“Despite the fact that the new outposts are illegal, most of them already have infrastructure, including a connection to Israel’s water pipeline. It is very simple – they pull pipes from old settlements. As for electricity, some have generators and solar panels, but some have already managed to get electricity from the power lines of old settlements,” Kerem Navot added.

'Hamas accuses New York Times of distorting interview conducted with Marzouq

Tuesday 25-February-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, has affirmed that the recent press remarks that were attributed to head of its international relations office Mousa Abu Marzouq have been inaccurate and taken out of context.

In a statement on Monday, Hamas explained that the interview conducted with Abu Marzouq and published by the New York Times newspaper several days ago did not contain the full content of the answers and his exact remarks were quoted out of context.

'Hamas stressed that the published interview did not contain the true remarks made by Abu Marzouq and did not convey the true meaning of what he had said.

According to 'Hamas, Abu Marzouq confirmed that the blessed October 7th operation reflected the Palestinian people’s right to resistance and their rejection of Israel’s siege, occupation and settlement expansion.

Abu Marzouq also emphasized that the criminal Israeli occupation had committed appalling war crimes and genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.

Abu Marzouq told the New York Times that Hamas would not give up its positions and its people’s right to use all forms of resistance, including armed resistance, to fight the Israeli occupation and liberate their Palestinian land.

“The resistance weapon belongs to our people and its purpose is to protect our people and our holy sites, so it is not permissible to drop or surrender it as long as the [Israeli] occupation exists on our land,” the Hamas official told the newspaper.

Tuesday 25-February-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Euro-Med Monitor has warned against efforts being exerted by Israeli occupation authorities to impose a new status quo in the West Bank through systematic destruction of Palestinian camps and the policy of forced displacement.

The Euro-Med said in a statement on Tuesday that the Israeli destruction of Palestinian refugee camps in the northern West Bank and the displacement of its inhabitants opens a new chapter of the “Nakba” of the Palestinian people.

The announcement of the Israeli war Minister, Yisrael Katz, to expel about 40,000 Palestinian refugees from the camps of Jenin, Tulkarem and Nur Shams and making them unlivable, represents an attempt to impose a new status quo that makes their return impossible, in the short or long term, it added.

The statement stressed that the deployment of a unit of tanks and heavy army vehicles in those areas has no security or military necessity, but rather comes within the framework of imposing military control on the northern West Bank.

It added that the Israeli occupation authorities may seek to impose a new reality in areas subject to the sovereignty of the Palestinian Authority (PA), which means canceling the PA’s role in those areas, and it may be a step on the path of annexing the West Bank.

The Euro-Med pointed out that Israel’s impunity at world platforms over the past decades and the international silence towards the Israeli crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip have encouraged the Israelis to expand the aggression and escalation in the West Bank.

The human rights group called on the international community to place actual pressure on Israel to end its military campaign in the northern West Bank, allow the return of the displaced, and to halt its policy of destruction and displacement against Palestinians.

On January 21, the Israeli occupation army began a military campaign against the city of Jenin and its camp, leaving dozens of martyrs, wounded and detainees, before extending the military offensive to Tulkarem and Tubas.

The aggression on Jenin has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 27 Palestinians and the injury of dozens of others, as well as the displacement of 40,000 people, while in the Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps, 12 citizens were martyred, and approximately 14,000 citizens were displaced.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
